Join us for "The Artist Eye," an open-themed art show celebrating creativity!

We invite artists of all backgrounds to submit art that showcases their unique vision and style.
Participants can submit up to five new works of art by midnight on August 15. Please complete the Submission Form and email it to art@benfieldgallery, along with your digital images.

Exhibition: September 13 – November 5, 2025
Meet the Artists Reception: Saturday, October 11, 1- 4 pm
Presentation of Awards: 2:00 pm
Awards: Best in Show, Second Place, and two Awards of Merit.
A People’s Choice Award is announced at the end of the exhibition.
Note: The Best in Show winner will have a solo show at Benfield Gallery in the fall of 2025. The second-place winner will have a feature wall at the gallery in 2025.
Images: Digital images are extremely important, as they are used to jury acceptance into the show and for promotional purposes.
Please title your digital images file in this format:

We need this information in the file name due to the large number of entries for this show. Entries will not be accepted if the file is not named properly. Email digital images 1800-2500 pixels or approximately 2-4 megabytes in size to art@benfieldgallery.com. The image should only be of the art, excluding the frame. We will promote selected images on the Benfield Gallery website, show postcard, and social media.
Entry Fee: $20 for 1 or 2 entries, additional 1-3 entries are $5 each (payable by check in the mail, cash/check/card in person, or via online payment: https://square.link/u/uSBU35Q5. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Submission deadline: The submission deadline is midnight on Friday, August 15, 2025. Please email the completed Entry Form to Benfield Gallery, along with digital images. Acceptance notifications will be emailed by August 18.

Participation Guidelines:

Size Limitations: Two-dimensional works may not exceed 30” x 40”. Three-dimensional works may not exceed 30” x 30” x 30”. No work of art may weigh more than 60 pounds.

Images of accepted works are used at the discretion of Benfield Gallery for informational or promotional purposes.

Framed artwork must be delivered to the gallery in good condition. All artwork must be ready for hanging upon arrival.

We reserve the right to not accept inadequate framing. Metal frames are discouraged. (Benfield Gallery offers artists a 20% discount for framing.)

All artwork must be available for sale.

All artwork submitted must be created solely by the artist; artwork produced in a workshop or class will not be accepted for the show.

All artwork should be less than five years old.

The Gallery will be entitled to 50% of artwork sales. The artist will be entitled to 50% and will be paid on the 15th of the month following a sale.

The Gallery offers customers layaway payment plans. The artist commission will be paid the month following the final payment.

The artwork will be handled with utmost care. The Gallery will not be responsible or liable for loss or damage from any cause whatsoever. Insurance, if desired, must be carried by the artist.

A Guest Artist Consignment Agreement must be signed upon acceptance. A copy will be sent via email upon acceptance for your review and signature.

How do I enter the show?
Please fill out the submission form located at the bottom of this document and email either the completed form or a JPEG of it to art@benfieldgallery.com with your digital images.
What if I'm unable to drop off or pick up my work during the designated times?
No problem, please let us know and we'll be happy to accommodate you.

Can I win an award without attending the reception?
Yes! We will announce your name and arrange for you to receive your check.

How many pieces can I enter?
You can enter one to five pieces.

If I want to visit the gallery or drop off work, where can I park?
There is parking right in front of the building, with a few stairs up to the door.
